It’s taken a while to get round to blogging this.  Shame that there hasn’t been a summer to remember since we were all shivering away outside the church!

The day began at Charlotte’s family home where she was well looked-after by her team and Martha the dog.  For her make-up, Charlotte was in the capable hands of Kelly from The Barn in Somerset.

The great thing about weddings is that they’re pretty much weather-proof.  Everyone (me included) obsesses about the forecast in the weeks and days leading up to the big day, but when the day itself comes around, you just have to fit in around whatever you’re given.  Snow is a mixed blessing as although it’s very romantic, it also means it’s cold, potentially wet and that’s not to everyone’s liking.  Charlotte got ready at her parents’ home which is not far from the church.  With everyone waiting expectantly, she made her way to the church accompanied by her father under the cover of an umbrella.  Beaming, she made her way up the aisle where she joined a very happy looking Stuart.  Suddenly it was apparent that there was a problem and it was announced to the congregation that Charlotte had forgotten her bouquet.  Amusement and a brief delay followed as someone was dispatched to remedy the situation.

We had planned to take some photos outside the church.  On leaving the church to steady snow, however, it was decided that we would head straight to The Clifton Club instead.  Having previously photographed Liz & Pete’s Wedding at The Clifton Club, it was great to be back.  Charlotte had promised to follow the first dance with her party piece, which she performed to the great delight of the all who saw it.

Many congratulations Charlotte and Stuart, it was great fun being a part of your wedding
