Naomi & Robbie Blog 491Here’s another wedding that it’s taken me a while to blogging.

It all kicked off early at Reflections in Thornbury where Naomi and here bridal party were well looked after.  Once home, Naomi was in the hands capable hands of Jessica Mills who made sure that she left for the Church looking amazing. Before leaving, though, there was time to open a gift from Robbie.  I’ve seen a few special wedding day gifts, but the miniature replica of the groom was certainly a first!

Exotically, the ceremony was taken by a priest from Africa.  Special thanks to the officials for being so accommodating, it always makes life much easier!

Having been to check out Old Down Manor with Naomi and Robbie some weeks before, I was looking forward to putting a few plans into action.  Unfortunately, the llamas weren’t keen to join in, but the ponies proved very capable substitutes.

The sharp among you may have picked up a couple of poorly-hidden football references and there’s a reason for this.  This particular wedding went like a dream until late into proceedings and in fact, the day wasn’t spoilt by anything to do with the wedding.  You see, Robbie and I both support Tottenham and this was the day of the Champions League final.  The day that Chelsea could (and did) rob Spurs of their Champions League place.  As we received updates during the dancing festivities, we experienced the highs and lows that makes sport so captivating.  At least we had a fantastic wedding to console ourselves!

It’s a long-ish post, so make yourselves comfortable…
